What is Dinosaur Auntie?

Dinosaur Auntie truly belongs in a museum. She was blessed with the opportunity to be involved in private museum management for 6 years and the museum was her happy place. Then Covid-19 struck and put an abrupt end to her passion project. Suddenly she was lost. She recalls having to fill up a form one day and when it came to “Occupation”, she just stared at the blank and was at a loss what to write. She not only lost her industry, career and passion, she had also lost part of her identity.

Time to face up to reality to survive. This is the digital age and she is a "Dinosaur Auntie".

She considers herself low tech and not tech savvy. She is of a certain vintage that did not use computers in school even in university. She does not venture very far beyond the basic compulsory tech functions that she requires for her life to work and play. And according to the news, the world has changed so much so that if she doesn't go digital, she might go extinct...just like the dinosaurs.

The world has also become very complex with multiple realities to deal with - harsh reality, augmented reality, virtual reality and extended reality. Covid-19 has accelerated the rate of digital transformation. Where should Dinosaur Auntie even start to begin reinventing herself? As a coping mechanism for her insecurities and anxiety, Dinosaur Auntie has dived headlong into digital technology, from Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, Visual Storytelling, AR Design to Indie Game Development. So why start Dinosaur Auntie's Digital Diary? Besides the fact that she has limited memory space, it is because she believes in Dinosaur Auntie Power. When you put together a bunch of determined aunties, there is nothing they can’t do.
